General Note
Letter from Janet Murrow, who is living in London, to her parents in the United States, expressing regret that she has not been able to see them more often. She mentions the recent radio broadcast about conditions in the Buchenwald concentration camp, given by her husband, Edward Murrow. She says that he is on the Continent at that time, meeting with the Allied armies. She tells her parents about her social activities and the weather in London. She also mentions her sorrow over the death of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and describes the general reaction in London.
