Scope and Contents
The Comptroller's Office records consist of correspondence, memos, minutes, reports, etc. They include payroll information from 1923-1949 and 1981-1992 (on microfiche); the office files of Earl Drogus, Comptroller (1965-1983); a study of all operations made for President Ham (1937-1939); and World War II miscellaneous files regarding the housing of US Navy WAVES personnel on campus.

Historical Note
The post of Comptroller originated in 1928. Beginning in 1938, the office underwent a series of changes which, at different times, led to its incorporation under the departments of Business Administration, Assistant Treasurer and Business Manager, Office of the Treasurer and finally, in 1994, the Office of Financial Services.
