American Studies Program records
Scope and Contents
The American Studies Program Records contain annual reports from 1974 to 1993, as well as a report to the Trustees and two articles. The first article discusses the chair of the American Studies Committee, John Grayson's, thoughts on the program and the other is a newspaper article about Joseph Ellis' Vietnam and American Culture course which brought award-winning author, Tim O'Brien, in to speak at the college. The annual reports and the report to the trustees contain information on staffing, budgets, and enrollments. There is also information on course development, syllabi from various courses, and two student papers, as well as, lists of awards presented to majors.
