Class books, Freshman handbooks, and yearbooks were prepared by students for the use and enjoyment of other students. Class books published by Seniors in the classes of 1877, 1880-1893, 1895-1897, 1899-1900, 1902-1919 summarize events during each groups' student years, often include class by-laws, constitutions, and songs, and contain information and prophecies concerning each class member. Freshman handbooks (1897-1989, 1993-2002) were prepared by Juniors for the guidance of entering students. These publications include information about the curriculum, campus, regulations, student organizations, social life, and College traditions as well as recommendations regarding clothing and room furnishings. Yearbooks (1896-2009) known as the Llamarada contain information about and photographs of members of each class as well faculty and staff along with details about events and organizations at the College. Student Handbooks (1906, 1909, 1911-1959, 1962-1965, 1969-1977, 1979-2005, 2007, 2010) prepared by the Mount Holyoke chapter of the Young Women's Christian ASssociation, student government organizations on campus, or administrators chiefly outline regulations for students’ behavior. Alumnae registers have been issued by Mount Holyoke since 1843, with those through 1887 prepared by the Memorandum Society and those from 1887-2008 by the Alumnae Association. These publications lists the names and addresses of alumnae and often include details about their post-Mount Holyoke lives.
