Scope and Contents
The Sandra MacDonald Nichols Ward Correspondence contains letters to Ward's parents and sister, describing social and academic activities while a student at Mount Holyoke College. Also includes letters describing summer employment as a chambermaid at Star Island, New Hamphsire, a Unitarian-Universalist conference site, 1962 and 1963, as well as her experiences working with Operation Crossroads Africa in Gambia, in 1964.

Biographical Note
Sandra MacDonald Nichols graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1965, and married Peter Langdon Ward that summer. She received an M.A. from the Columbia University School of Library Sciences in 1966, and worked for fifteen years as the Undergraduate Science Librarian at Stanford University. In 1992 she became the Science Librarian at Mount Holyoke College.
