Biographical / Historical
A founding trustee of Hampshire College, Winthrop Dakin practiced law in Northampton for many years. He graduated from Princeton and received a law degree from Harvard, and was active in the regional Bar Associations. He served as a director of the Hampshire County Civil Liberties Union and as a trustee of the Clarke School for the Deaf. He died in December 1982
