Burling, Annie Sherman James, d. 1920; student, school principal. Attended Mount Holyoke Female Seminary, 1863-1864. Papers consist of a letter from J.H. Ripley, principal of a school that she attended, a combined personal journal and account book, a botany notebook, and an autograph album. Primarily documenting her experiences and expenses as a Mount Holyoke Female Seminary student.

An instrumental supporter in building the Williston Observatory. Papers consist of correspondence, scrapbook, notebook, travel journal, notes and photographs. Primarily documenting her interest in astronomy and her trip to Europe, all dating between 1874 and 1899.
